ReplyDeletecharacters: doris, magaret, jackie, rosie are onstage because to show the ordinary lives of women, there 3 men offstage, jack, ken, graham - rosie's father
plot: the main plot is the relationship between a mother and a daughter, this shows love and jealousy between them
clonflict: character vs society - jackie giving up roise, character vs character- the truth about rosie's mother (jakie and rosie) jack's will
theme: relationship between a mother and daughter, giving up a child for a better future for both them, regret, love and jealousy
atmosphere: light set to specified for transforming the stage space from one time and place to another
symbols & motifs: sucky shows the lives of magaret jakie and rosie

ReplyDeleteConflict: Jackie and rosie(when rosie finds out about her real mother. Jackie and society..when she gives up rosie. Margaret and jackie (when it is rosies eight birthday)
Themes: the difference in 4 generations, taking life-chamging desicions, the relationship between mother and daughter.
Characters: Doris Partington married to Jack Bradley, Margaret Bradley married to Ken Metcalfe, Jackie Metcalfe and Rosie Metcalfe.
Plot: the order in which the story is told creates dramatic energy and suspense. Act one shows all the family secrets of generations. the objects and confrontations of Act 2 add more suspense and reveals alot about the past. Act three is where all the dramatic incidents occur.
Motifs and symbols: Suky shows how each generation treats suky and shows a bit of each of their lives.
Structure: the story is not in chronological order but it is in the order of how the past continually interrupts the present and informs our present-day descisions.

Theme:Mother and daughter connection and gap between four generation of the four women.
Plot:The plot of the story is how each of the four girls was brought with different values and in act1 we see how the character and their secrets are reveal which are finally unveiled in act3 and act2
